Masafumi Sanai, “Pylon”. Co-published from Taisho / MATCH and Company.

I thought this title in Japanese had no meaning but it was actually “plyon” in English.
After publishing tons of photobooks from various publishers since his debut in late 1990s, he felt enough with it. In 2008, he launched his own publishing label “Taisyo” that he can manage and control everything, choosing right paper/print and of course selection of images.
This is the 10th book of his own from Taisyo.

Books from the label tend to be big and heavy but this one has soft cover and the size is 290mm x 257mm.

There is much space around each photograph that makes images closed.

Limited 700 copies.
Label Taisho does not have international shipping(at least no explanation in English) so far but you can purchase some of his books in bookshop M (online shop for MATCH and Company which co-publish some works with Taisyo). Also you can find more of his books on Amazon. “Ikiteiru”(his debut photobook and masterpiece), “Tekka”(same format with Ikiteiru), “Ore no Kuruma”(means “my car”. He loves his car).
