フランス南部にあるサント･ヴィクトワール山は、晩年のセザンヌが、絵画の題材に選んだことで有名ですが、その山を写真におさめたのがこの写真集。
Risaku Suzuki chose to take photographs of Montagne Sainte-Victoire, which is famous for Paul Cézanne’s pictures.
前半は中判カメラ（マキナ）、後半は大判カメラで撮影されているそうです。
The first half photographs were taken by Medium Format Camera (Plaubel Makina 67 to be exact), and Large Format Camera (8×10) were used in the latter half.
山を上っていく感覚が、美しい写真とともに味わえます。
